The Holigent Solution Book is Here! An inspiration for the present and a guide for posterity.

Ideas can be shared and preserved for some time in the minds of individuals, but they are vulnerable to being misunderstood, forgotten with time, or buried under information overload of this sometimes overwhelming information age in which we currently live.

My father and I felt it was important to thoroughly detail and preserve for posterity the full Holigent philosophy and solution in a physical form, so we threw ourselves into compiling our story and concept in a book.

The front cover

We are excited to announce it is available now on Amazon.com! All proceeds go toward the mission of Holigent.org, which is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

The back cover

To survive and thrive, humans will need to live by nature's efficient sustainable building code. We hope this book will serve as an inspiration and guide for current and future generations to put the power of building a secure future into their own hands.

We are brainstorming some smaller scale and more immediate time framed projects that will be exciting opportunities for creative involvement so check back for details on those!

For now take a gander at our lovely book; Even after reading and editing it multiple times I still found myself laughing, crying, and feeling inspired by its personal story and thoughtful exploration of deeply important issues that affect us all.

2012, the year of Holigent

Happy new year!

For my dad and I, 2012 is the year of Holigent.  This year we will dedicate our full efforts to trying to make the Holigent Solution a reality.  We will be restarting our road trip to visit college campuses to talk with students and faculty, pursue collaboration with student organizations and educational programs and institutions, and work on connecting with visionary philanthropists and very enthusiastic and inspired people in the Occupy Movement and elsewhere.

Occupy Venice kindly hosted us as guest speakers on January 5, 2012 and recorded our talk. We are getting better at condensing all this information, whew!

In Occupy general assemblies, when presenting a proposal, one must clearly state "who, what, and how."  Who would be involved? What would it entail? And how will it be developed or achieved?  I think this is very intelligent and relevant to any endeavor, professional or personal. Holigent clearly defines the "who" and the "what," now it is time to act on the "how!"

This will be a year of teaching, learning, sharing, connecting, and action!  Now is the time to contact us and become involved in any way you can.

What are your new year's resolutions and how are you working toward achieving them?

What are my new year's resolutions? Well, I have the more usual ones like continuing regular exercise and healthy eating, practicing "mindfulness," and staying close with good friends. But I also have an even longer term new year's resolution--a life resolution really--to facilitate a systemically sustainable society in whatever positive and practical way I can. For me the Holigent Solution would certainly make that possible, but numerous things I do and achieve along the way will be miniature realizations of that goal - a comforting thought in such a big endeavor.

I wish you all the best this year - there is no time like the present so go after your goals!
